Review
This story was split in 2 books. So I’m reviewing both books as one story.
I’ll be honest, I’m drained! Completely utterly worn out! One, because it is a pretty fucking LOOOONG book. Not kidding! Book 1 has 887 pages and book 2 has 938 pages. And you will have to read both books so you can get a conclusion to the story. Two, the angst felt a little too much at times. I almost had to take a Xanax to calm me down😆 Three, the content. Specially the last book. Too heavy. I would suggest readers to check triggers warning first. And last but not least, after reading 1900 pages between the two books, some things started to feel like too much. Specially in book 2.
However…!
I still absolutely loved the slow burn. The FEELS y’all… 🙌🏻✨ I cried buckets and was heartbroken in some parts, but I also laughed to the point where my stomach hurt, and I swooned more times that I can count.
This story has me in my feelings. These two are the forever kind of love, the love you live and breathe for. The slow burn was really worth it.
This author had me hooked on all the characters, my absolute favorite being Gibsie. He certainly stole the show there.
I honestly cannot wait for Gibsie’s book. 😍
“I once read somewhere that we mature with damage, not with age.“
“I think I need you for keeps.¨
¨I think I need you for keeps, too.”“She makes my heart go, like, whoa. Boom, boom, fucking boom. All the time.”
“I once read somewhere that we mature with damage, not with age.”
“I love you, Shannon like the river.”
