    Business Casual by B.K. Borison

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:small town, opposites attract, just once and get it out of our systems, golden retriever mmc & black cat fmc, he falls first, found family. This was such a good read and my favorite in the series. I loved watching Nora and Charlie fall in love, especially because neither of them had a clue it was happening. Their banter was top tier.๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿป Business Casual was a heartfelt and fun story. A perfect finale to a wonderful small town romance series. I throughly enjoyed it!  “You noticed.” “I always notice you, Nova girl.” Two opposites decide to test their chemistry with one steamy night together. But will once be enough? Nova…

    Savor It by Tarah DeWitt

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:small town, friends with benefits, he falls first, single guardian, grumpy & sunshine, slow burn. While I enjoyed the romance between Fisher and Sage, I thought it was lackluster. The pacing felt off too, as it took way too long to really get anywhere. I loved the small town scene and the festival added depth to the town, but overall it was just ok. Even though I didnโ€™t love this one, it has a lot of rave reviews, so Iโ€™d recommend checking some reviews out and deciding for yourself.  “I think of Sage and her relentless determination to make something beautiful with all that she had at her fingertips, in…

If You Want Me by Helena Hunting

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:age gap, dadโ€™s best friend, forbidden love, sneaking around, sports romance: hockey, opposite attract. While I personally donโ€™t enjoy that much of steamy in books, I did end up enjoying  the relationship between Aurora and Hollis. The  chemistry between them was really good. The age gap was very well written and the fact that Hollys was Auroraโ€™s dad best friend made this forbidden love even better! I really ended up enjoying this book.  “I canโ€™t watch you from the sidelines anymore.“ A standalone age-gap, dad’s best friend hockey romance. Thereโ€™s no one more off limits than my best friendโ€™s daughter. Peggy Aurora Hammerstein. The Toronto Terrorโ€™s unofficial team princess. I would never…

The Housemaid Is Watching by Freida McFaddenย

I am not sure what to say about this book. The only word that comes to mind at this moment is stupid. I think I will stick with stupid. Just plain stupid. “I am scared of you, Millie Accardi. And he should be.“ โ€œYou must be our new neighbors!โ€ Mrs. Lowell gushes and waves across the picket fence. I clutch my daughterโ€™s hand and smile back: but the second Mrs. Lowell sees my husband a strange expression crosses her face. In that moment I make a promise. We finally have a family home. My past is far, far behind us. And Iโ€™ll do anything to keep it that wayโ€ฆ I…

Change of Heart by Kate Canterbary

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:one night stand, forbidden love, cinnamon roll hero, forced proximity, workplace, golden retriever & black cat, he falls first and harder, insta-love. I love Kate Canterbary writing style and her character development. I was so excited about Change of Heart, unfortunately, it didnโ€™t quite work for me. I wish there was a little more drama to their forbidden relationship. The story moved agonizingly slowly once he reconnected with Whitney. Too much details that added nothing to the story.  But I loved-loved how unapologetically gone Henry was for Whitney. The main characters have great chemistry.  “I knew it wasnโ€™t a one-time thing. I knew this was how it was with us and…

The Wedding People by Alison Espach

This book deals with infidelity; infertility; unfulfilling job; divorce; suicide; depression; death/grief. Donโ€™t read if any of these is a trigger for you.  Book covers can be so deceiving sometimes. I went into this one thinking I was in for a lightheaded RomCom but this was not it at all and in the very best way.  I loved the colorfully, well developed characters and the astute, sometimes painful, often cleverly funny observations of life, family and relationships. Phoebe, was one of the smartest characters I’ve encountered in a while. I was so touched by the story. I know this book wonโ€™t be for everyone, but it was right up my…

    Reckless by Lauren Robertsย

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:enemies to lovers, betrayal, forbidden love, vengeance, tortured heroine, magic; romantasy. Okay, I am going to be brutally honest, although I really enjoyed the banter, I think the whole back and forth went on for a bit too long. Starting to feel a bit like a filler and I believe it was, maybe because she wants three books and not two. But dang! Their chemistry is out of this world!! Sooo good. And that ending??? Totally unexpected!! Omg! Iโ€™m still reeling about it. In the end, I cannot but give this all the stars!!  “I want her to burn for me, even if it means with hatred.“ “She is the…

    Summer Romance by Annabel Monaghan

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:mature characters, brotherโ€™s best friend, single mom, small town, mistaken identify, meet-cute, love after divorce, he falls first, death/grief, closed doors. Such a heartfelt and relatable book. One that made my heart fullโ€ฆ There’s something about the way Annabel Monaghan writes that is so unique and it just pulls you in every time. Even though this is a lighthearted story, it still covered grief, depression, complicated family dynamics, divorce, and motherhood. I’m always amazed by how this author manages to cram so much plot and heart into a few pages. Definitely a summer treat! “I want a break from my kids without missing a single minute of their lives. I…

Bright Lights & Summer Nights by Kat Singletonย

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:billionaire, fake relationship, age gap, sports romance: football, found family, he falls first, third act breakup. Preston and Emmaโ€™s meet-cute was CHEFโ€™S KISS ๐Ÿ’‹ Every interaction between them that first night was filled with humor, and their instant spark was delightful. Gram was the star of the show.  However, six chapters to describe a sex scene was a bit too much for me. The pace of the story kind of slowed down after that too and the 3rd act breakup near to the end only annoyed me a bit more.  But I still somehow enjoyed this book very much, the first 70% was SO good that I canโ€™t help but…

    Love Unwritten by Lauren Asher

๐’ž๐‘œ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“ƒ๐“‰:single dad, nanny, grumpy & sunshine, rich hero, forced proximity. A highly anticipated read. Iโ€™m a sucker for the grumpy single dad trope, but this fell flat for me. The book was way too long to the very little things that actually happens. Their connection felt forced. There is zero conflict in the story. The kid was the most annoying fake kid that has ever existed in a book!! Some of the dialogue were very cringey. It was painful to read it. “To those who see themselves as broken. I hope you find someone who admires your scars for what they are: A sign of your struggle and a testament…
