The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:enemies to lovers, grumpy X sunshine. The Rom-Commers started out strong but it goes downhill as you read. In the end I couldnโt connect with either main characters. Both of them were pretty disappointing. Also, there is absolutely NO chemistry between these two. I wanted to love it so much more but sadly I found myself dragging through it. I donโt mean to challenge somebody elseโs opinion; however, The Rom-Commers was not to my liking. “Whatever story you tell yourself about your life, that’s the one that’ll be true.“ Emma Wheeler desperately longs to be a screenwriter. Sheโs spent her life studying, obsessing over, and writing romantic comediesโgood ones! That…

Cruel Seduction by Katee Robert
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:marriage of convenience; enemies to lovers; mythology retelling; polyamorous; mmff relationship. What a glorious hot mess these four make when their emotions get tangled up!! Whew!๐ฎโ๐จ This series is always full of delectable spice, mythological references, and all the olympus world drama. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the evolution of the characters. I only found Pandora and Aphroditeโs relationship underdeveloped. But I loved Theseus, Aphrodite and Adonis! “It never lasts, but there’s sweetness even in loss.“ He was my enemy. My lover. My husband. And the one man I swore by all Olympus I would destroy. Aphrodite has never flinched at getting her perfectly manicured hands dirty, and she’s…

Crossroads by Devney Perry
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:second chances, cowboy romance, small town, childhood friends, workplace, forced proximity, itโs always been you, right person wrong time, dual timeline. I didn’t really understand their relationship. Why did they hate each other so much in the present? They met once a year for a week every year since they were kids, they ended up sleeping together when they were older, but once she left the ranch, they never kept in touch for the rest of the year until she was back in town. They never dated, they were only hookups. I just could not understand why they hated each other so much if they never once discussed their relationship…

Collide by Bal Khabra
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: college sports romance, forced proximity, he falls firs, black cat girl & golden retrivier boy, full of swooniness; great dialogue & banter, slow burn. The way I ate this upโฆI had to force myself to put the book down when I needed it, and thatโs when you know itโs that good… Aiden is top tier book boyfriend material. He is sweet, caring, selfless and has the patience of a saint! Sorry Summer, but you could be really annoying sometimes ๐คญ but the way Aiden handled her had me swooning! The warm and cozy feelings that I got while reading this was unmatched! Cannot wait til more from this series…

Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:rivals to lovers, he falls first, sports romance, virgin hero, slow burn. Check & Mate is a really cute RomCom set in the world of Chess. I donโt play chess, and I donโt know much about the game, but this did not impact my enjoyment of this story. It was easy to read and lose myself within. It was smart, sweet and unique! And the audiobook was fantastic, a definite enhancement to an already great story. Thank you so much @librofm for the gifted copy of this audiobook. I’m so grateful for our partnership! “I look at him looking at me, and overflow with something I cannot put a name…

Betting on You by Lynn Painter
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:friends to lovers, opposites attract, fake dating, closed doors. This book was a ball of sunshine and it will put a smile on your face and make you giggle like a school girl with a crush. The characters are so easy to fall in love with. I think their dynamic may be one of my very favorites among the hundreds of romance books Iโve read this year. There is no way you wonโt root for these two right off the bat. If you like sweet and adorably cute books definitely give this one a try! There is something about Lynn Painterโs YA books that just hits different. Love her books.…

The Five Stages of Falling in Love by Rachel Higginson
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:friends to lovers, neighbors, second chances, single mom, grief/death, emotional, to cry over. Holy to the heartbreak, I just know I will not do this book any justice on this review. From start to finish you will feel this story. I was lost in a sea of grief right alongside Liz. But donโt let this to scared you off, I was afraid this book would be dark and depressing, but it was NOTHING like that at all! I laughed out loud almost as much as I cried, and sometimes they were happy tears too. The writing is simply outstanding. Trust me, this book will capture you by the heart and…

Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:rockstar, workplace, cinnamon roll hero, funny, slow burn. Iโll admit, I did not expect to like this book as much as I did! I love the behind the scenes aspect of being a comedy writer at SNL, but what truly won me over was the romance! I loved it so much. I loved how their attraction started, I loved the flirting, I loved that they had realistic issues and insecurities and falling outs. I loved how real this felt. And I absolutely loved Noah! ๐ซถ๐ปโจ Such a unique plot line with unforgettable characters that will stay with you long after finishing the book. Loved it! “Arenโt we all just looking…

Pucking Around by Emily Rath
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:sports romance, workplace, polyamorous, reverse harem, secret relationship, mรฉnage. 1- 752 pages itโs unnecessary too long for a contemporary romance. We donโt need that much pages for spicy books. 2- Rachel was not professional at all, just needy. I got the impression that if all the players payed her an especial attention she would have slept with them all too. 3- Who wears that dress to a work function? A work where most are men where she is their physical therapist. The guys were already calling her the โhot docโ. She sure wasnโt commanding any respect but screaming for more attention. 3- Jake was too needy and unsure about every…

Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐:he falls first, forbidden love, workplace. I think we spent too much time in the characters’ heads and I didn’t love that. I was a bit bored. I also think the physical connection between the main characters overshadowed the emotional one. I personally prefer romances more emotion-centric. I needed more buildup. However, I enjoyed the forbidden aspect of the romance and the banter was also fun. Overall, I liked it just didnโt love it. Thank you @librofm for the ALC. Your kindness is always appreciated. “And then, Rue, I met you. And you casually cracked my life into before and after you.“ A forbidden, secret affair proves that allโs fair…
