The Dixon Rule by Elle Kennedy
ššššššš:
college sport romance, enemies to lovers, frenemies with benefits, fake dating, next door neighbors.
Review
I love some good banter and Elle Kennedy did not disappoint with this one. I loved the banter between Shane and Diana. I really felt the connection between these two. Seeing their relationship change over the course of the book was so fun, and really really cute.
My only criticism is that the book was a bit too long. Some of the scenes felt like were written only to add pages to the book. I also found the dad drama close to the end SO unnecessary.
Overall, a fun and cute read. Their back and forth was amazing. And I couldnāt get enough of them!!!
“If you love someone, you should always tell them. Life is too short, and you never know what tomorrow will bring.“
Blurb
Diana Dixon has a lot going on this summer. Sheās rehearsing for a ballroom dance competition, juggling two jobs, and dealing with an ex-boyfriend who canāt take the hint itās over. Yet despite all that, she still has plenty of time and energy to tell Shane Lindley to screw off.
Shane just moved into her apartment building and seems dedicated to sleeping his way through her entire cheerleading squad. Sure, heās a tall, gorgeous hockey player, but heās messing with her turf. This calls for some ground rules: no parties in her apartment, leave her teammates alone, andāmost importantlyāleave her alone.
What Diana doesnāt realize is that Shaneās sick of hookups and tired of being on the rebound after his long-term girlfriend called it quits. He wants a relationship. And when his ex comes back into the picture, he pretends he has one to make her jealousā¦and who better to play the girlfriend role than his sassy new neighbor?
Despite Dianaās reluctance to break her rule, a fake relationship is the perfect solution for her own ex issues, and soon she canāt deny something is sizzling between her and Shane. Something hot and completely unexpected.
And it might just be getting a little too real.
