First Lie WIns was slow and boring. I didn’t care about the story until about 70-80% when it picked up. A lot of things don’t make sense and are completely improbable. The main character was also completely unlikeable. In fact, there was not a sympathetic character in this book. But I found her love for her mother endearing.
