The Devious Husband by Catharina Maura

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Review

There was just no angst. The beginning started off strong but things sort of fell apart once the arrangement wedding happened. It was like all their rivalry was forgotten. All the issues seemed petty and foolish, everything felt contrived after that.  But I felt their chemistry.

Overall,  the banter was great in the beginning. I had several moments of laughter. I just wish they didn’t get off the rails as much as they did. Things felt way too far fetched and easy after the arrangement marriage for me.

I’ll never want you,
I’ll never want you,
Then I’ll wait a million years and a day, Kitten. I’ll wait forever if I need to, so long as you understand that you’re mine as much as I’m yours.”

I don’t think of you at all,
You think of me all the time, Kitten,
You think of me every time you decide not to attend an event at the very last second, because you’d just found out I’d be there.
You think of me each time you pull out of a property auction or retract a development
proposal.
