Bad for Business by Kat Singleton

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Review

This was a solid 3.5 star read for me. I enjoyed the banter and tension of their relationship, but I felt like Camille really didn’t like Ryker for most of the book. I wanted more vulnerability, more softness coming from her, especially given their history of a one night stand. However, I did enjoyed their relationship and how it was built. Overall, it was entertaining.

❝ I’m sorry that you’ve met people in your life who made you feel like you’re unlikable, but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. And if you’ll keep letting me in, if you don’t run the moment you get scared, then I’ll keep proving to you how much I mean it.❞

❝ The easiest thing I’ve ever done is like you, Cami. Even when I thought I hated you, I liked you.❞

❝ The whole time, the only thing I hate is that I can’t hate her.❞

❝ I’ve never contemplated murder before, but I guess there’s a first time for everything and I might just kill Ryker Davenport.❞

The sexy hate-to-love, black cat x golden retriever, billionaire romance that’s impossible to put down.

Ryker Davenport is the reckless, arrogant heir to his family’s company…and my ticket to a big promotion.

As a publicist at one of the top PR firms in New York, I’m used to handling tough cases–not impossible ones. But how better to prove I’m deserving of that promotion than to turn Ryker back into the golden boy everyone once thought him to be and convince the board that he’s fit to lead? The only catch–we’ve got some history. The complicated kind.

Spending the summer working in the Hamptons wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t stuck here with the one man who knows just how to get under my skin and into my head. I’ve spent so much time with him that our fighting has slowly turned into something more. Something heated. Now I’m worried it’s not just my head he’s getting into, but my heart.

The job was to prove to the world that Ryker isn’t bad for business, but in doing so, I may have proved to myself that Ryker isn’t bad for me…
