My biggest issue with the book was the way Gabriel treated Darcy without any opportunity to truly know her. He treated her like she was this evil thing that liked to murder people like she wanted to see them dead and even felt some kind of pleasure at doing that. Dude, people die. That’s the only certainty we have in life. We are all going to die someday. She was just doing her job. Chill!

I also think it was lacking banter, it was more sweet than funny. I was expecting it more humor and for that reason some dialogue ended up being a bit cheesy for me but that’s on me. I still enjoyed elements of the book though. I thought the story was cute and unique, it just didn’t quite give me the feelings I was hoping for. But if you are fan of BK I am sure you will love this one.
