The Final Score by Lana Ferguson
3.25 stars ͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: The Game Changer #2╰⪼ interconnected series I liked it. I liked how these two showed up for each other. I also liked their banter. I just missed some sparks there. I don’t know. I didn’t feel the fire in their relationship. It was cute, it was sweet but pretty bland to me. However, I still find this book enjoyable and easy to read. Although, it doesn’t say anything on Goodreads, The Final Score is a standalone sequel to The Game Changer. The Game Changer Series: ∗ Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a complete standalone. But for maximum…

Extracurricular by Rachel Lynn Solomon
3.25 stars I was expecting this to be a forbidden romance since this is about a professor/student love story but I don’t think the author did it very well. Shouldn’t they have been resisting each other? Been yearning themselves half to death over someone they desperately want but cannot ethically have??? But instead these two hook up way to fast before we can actually get all that tension and angst that usually comes with this trope. That said, I still found the plot interesting. It kept me entertained. I just think that with a trope like this, the story definitely could have been stronger and more gripping if the forbidden aspect…

The Very Definition of Love by Sophia Benoit
This was a funny and engaging read that was really easy to read. Their banter literally had me laughing out loud, it was so fun and light hearted. The only thing that kept me from giving this all the stars was that I wasn’t fully convinced there was deeper feelings beyond lust between the main characters. Still, The Very Definition of Love was a really enjoyable and fun read with some spicy bits sprinkled throughout. The banter was the real stars of the show for me. If you enjoyed the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn this book is perfect for you. 1816—Harriet Bancroft doesn’t mind that she’s on her fifth…

The MASH Up by Laura Marie Meyers
I mostly enjoyed this one. It was an easy read with a fun and original premise. But unfortunately, the execution just didn’t completely work for me. The pacing felt uneven, and some parts dragged while others seemed to move too quickly. Overall, the Mashup was still a good book for me. The audio was done well and I would definitely read more from this author. It’s all fun and games until someone falls in love. MANSION • APARTMENT • SHACK • HOUSE Ruby Wynne is a staunch rule-follower who lives by the numbers. So when a surprising breakup – on her thirty-fifth birthday – ruins all her well-laid plans, Ruby…

Faking for Now by Rebecca Jenshak
͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: Frost Lake High #3╰⪼ interconnected series That’s what I’ve been talking about Rebecca! Their dynamic was sweet and easy. Their relationship developed naturally. We could really see their feelings were genuine and it was turning into something more. I fell for both Summer and Rowen. This is my favorite in this series so far. Frost Lake High Series: ∗ Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a complete standalone. But for maximum enjoyment, follow the recommended reading order. ∗ ❝ I love you,” I murmur, not wanting to break the kiss any longer than necessary to get out the words. “I…

Off the Record by Sara Goodman Confino
3.25 stars I absolutely love everything this author writes but I gotta be honest, this is my least favorite. The plot definitely had a lot of potential, but the story dragged at times and never fully held my attention. Judy’s character was also a bit unlikable, not gonna lie. The ending was a tad bit cheesy too. Oh! And too.much.politics! I was bored sometimes and skipped a few pages. I still enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere created in this book though and some of the banter between the main characters. Oh, and how could I forget! The grandma too😆 Overall, I still liked it just not her best work for me. …

The Poison Daughter by Sheila Masterson
1- Men have a hunting day where they can cheat their wives and get away with it. It’s tradition. 2- One of the wedding tradition is to f*ck your wife in front of people and not only that! The woman has to come in front of everyone, otherwise they will be challenged by the people. What’s this??? A swing house???? What people can get away in the name of tradition in this book it’s eye rolling. I was actually enjoying this until everything gets too ridiculous to even continue this. That being said, I know others really loved this book so don’t let my review sway you from giving it…

In Stormy Weather by Chelsea Curto
Not my favorite by this author. I couldn’t find it in myself to care about what was happening. The chemistry felt forced. The dialogue felt unnatural. Too much telling and not showing. There was so much going one with little to none depth that it was hard to tell what was the plot about. I enjoy this author, and still do! But sadly this book wasn’t one for me. The execution felt too messy and overstimulating to me. From USA Today bestselling indie author Chelsea Curto comes an academic rivals-to-lovers romance about storm-chasing meteorologists during hurricane season in Florida—perfect for fans of Ali Hazelwood and B.K. Borison. Nothing can rain on Quincy…

Embrace by Bal Khabra
͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: Off the Ice #4╰⪼ interconnected series Kian was such a good mc, a major sunshine, but sadly this book fell flat for me. The writing felt choppy and repetitive in some places. Their friendship dragged longer than necessary. And when the romance gained momentum, it felt more one sided as in Kian liked Scarlett more. Everything just felt very surface level. Off the Ice Series: ∗ Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a complete standalone. But for maximum enjoyment, follow the recommended reading order. ∗ An unexpected spark between a hockey player and the coach’s daughter might cause them to…
