    Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:rockstar, workplace, cinnamon roll hero, funny, slow burn. I’ll admit, I did not expect to like this book as much as I did! I love the behind the scenes aspect of being a comedy writer at SNL, but what truly won me over was the romance! I loved it so much. I loved how their attraction started, I loved the flirting, I loved that they had realistic issues and insecurities and falling outs. I loved how real this felt. And I absolutely loved Noah! 🫢🏻✨ Such a unique plot line with unforgettable characters that will stay with you long after finishing the book. Loved it! “Aren’t we all just looking…

    Pucking Around by Emily Rath

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:sports romance, workplace, polyamorous, reverse harem, secret relationship, mΓ©nage. 1- 752 pages it’s unnecessary too long for a contemporary romance. We don’t need that much pages for spicy books. 2- Rachel was not professional at all, just needy. I got the impression that if all the players payed her an especial attention she would have slept with them all too.  3- Who wears that dress to a work function? A work where most are men where she is their physical therapist. The guys were already calling her the β€œhot doc”. She sure wasn’t commanding any respect but screaming for more attention.  3- Jake was too needy and unsure about every…

Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:he falls first, forbidden love, workplace. I think we spent too much time in the characters’ heads and I didn’t love that. I was a bit bored.  I also think the physical connection between the main characters overshadowed the emotional one. I personally prefer romances more emotion-centric. I needed more buildup.  However, I enjoyed the forbidden aspect of the romance and the banter was also fun. Overall, I liked it just didn’t love it. Thank you @librofm for the ALC. Your kindness is always appreciated. “And then, Rue, I met you. And you casually cracked my life into before and after you.“ A forbidden, secret affair proves that all’s fair…

    Funny Story by Emily Henry

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:roommates, opposites attract, forced proximity, friends to lovers, sort of fake dating, exes getting revenge, found family. When you find a book that can make you laugh out loud, feel the love, and make your heart sing, you know you’ve got a winner. I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot with this one. I totally loved it! And I will say more, this may be Emily Henry’s best romance yet!!!!! I loved the tension and butterflies in this book. The banter was delightful. The side characters were really fun. But the bound and the intimacy that grew within Daphne and Miles friendship was what really got me. Breathtaking beautiful. I…

If Only I had Told Her by Laura Nowlin

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:depressingly sad, suicide attempt, cheating, depression, pregnancy. Emotional. Gut wrenching. Raw. Intense. When I picked this one to read, I knew I was going to be on one hell of an emotional ride. I just was not expecting it to be through Splash Mountain at Disneyland. Holy hell, this book hurt. It hurt A LOT. I loved it and I hated it! Romance novels are not supposed to be this sad! 😭😭😭 Do not read this book if you don’t want to feel blue. This is a very sad book, I dare say it is sadder than the first book. I am destroyed!!  “It matters which people you spend time…

This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:single mom; single dad; friends to lovers; forbidden love; slow burn. While I think this was slow paced and a bit longer than necessary, it was still stunningly beautiful. I absolutely wholeheartedly recommend it. “A woman who wants more and realizes she deserves it is a dangerous thing.“ Soledad Barnes has her life all planned out. Because, of course, she does. She plans everything. She designs everything. She fixes everything. She’s a domestic goddess who’s never met a party she couldn’t host or a charge she couldn’t lead. The one with all the answers and the perfect vinaigrette for that summer salad. But none of her varied talents can save her when catastrophe strikes,…

    Mayluna by Kelley McNeil

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:rockstar, second chances, nontraditional hea.  What??? Nooooo! Seriously, why did you do this, Kelley McNeil?!!!! 😩😭 Mayluna was so heartbreakingly-beautiful. It has Daisy Jones vibes all the way and I was instantly hooked. I was just not expecting that ending! It’s with tears in my eyes that I give Mayluna 5 stars! “Simply repeating one day after the next is the enemy of a fulfilling life.“ A legendary band, an iconic lead singer, and their mysterious connection to a woman whose love helped create the music of a generation. Timing is everything in a powerful novel about fate, regret, and moving on by the author of A Day Like This. In…

    Powerless by Lauren Roberts

Content: rivals to lovers, forbidden love, rich hero, sassy heroine, forced proximity, slow burn, magic, young adult. I LOVED IT SO. MUCH!! The writing is smart and sassy. The tension between Paedin and Kai is hot and electric. The ending broke me. This romantasy was enthralling and addictive. The only downfall is we have to wait til July for book two. God help me! 😫 “You’re a cruel little thing, you know that?” My voice is deep, desperate.β€œBut I’ve barely laid a finger on you,” she says softly, emphasizing her words with a single finger tracing up my forearm.β€œExactly.” She is the very thing he’s spent his whole life hunting.…

    Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh

π’žπ‘œπ“ƒπ“‰π‘’π“ƒπ“‰:sports romance: rugby, friends to lovers, rich hero, virgin heroine, small town, slow burn at is best, Irish. This story was split in 2 books. So I’m reviewing both books as one story. I’ll be honest, I’m drained! Completely utterly worn out! One, because it is a pretty fucking LOOOONG book. Not kidding! Book 1 has 887 pages and book 2 has 938 pages. And you will have to read both books so you can get a conclusion to the story. Two, the angst felt a little too much at times. I almost had to take a Xanax to calm me downπŸ˜† Three, the content. Specially the last book. Too…
