So Old, So Young by Grant Ginder

This book is so messy. Too many non-discript characters to remember. Some of them even have similar names. It was hard to keep who’s who’s, especially if you are with the audiobook. There is also no real point to the story. All I could think while reading this is when are we going to get to the story. None of the characters developed enough depth, to be honest. I was thoroughly disappointed by this book. Six Friends. Five Parties. Twenty Years… How did we get So Old, So Young? From Grant Ginder, the bestselling author of The People We Hate at the Wedding, comes a novel of impending millennial middle age that…

    Wolf.e by Paisley Hope

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: The Soldiers of Bedlam #1╰⪼ reads as standalone Just one of those dark romance books with way too much smut but lackluster storyline and no substance. definitely not a book for me. But hey, I’m clearly the minority about this so if you dig that, this book is for you.  The Soldiers of Bedlam Series: ∗ Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a complete standalone. The Rulebreaker by Piper Rayne

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: The Dugout #3╰⪼ reads as standalone I really enjoyed the pinning and the angst between Penelope and Decker. I also enjoyed the therapy sessions between Decker and his brother Foster to sort out issues. It was a super cute read. But nothing really stood out for me. It was just an okay read. Good but it didn’t gave me butterflies in the stomach.  The Dugout Series: ∗ Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a complete standalone. The Muse by Jewel E. Ann

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: The Chain of Lakes #2╰⪼ reads as standalone I know everyone loves this author. I was once that reader too but sadly it’s been harder and harder for me to connect with her writing.  Where are all the emotions??? The buildup??? The all the feels her stories usually gives??? The substance!!!??? Sorry, but I just couldn’t feel anything here.  I miss her old self. The author who wrote deeply stories and used to give all the feels. I think she needs to take more time to write her books. She’s been launching too many books a year and it’s losing the heart. I keep reading her in hopes…

Please Don’t Go by E. Salvador

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: The Midnight Strike #1╰⪼ reads as standalone I did enjoy Josie and Daniel’s romance, and how caring Daniel was for Josie. But l also had some issues.  Considering how this book started and all the themes dealt, I genuinely expected more depth. Sadly, I couldn’t feel all the emotions in the writing. Also, some reviewers is calling this a slow burn but I disagree. I think their feelings one to another moved too fast, and their relationship felt too much like insta-love to me.  Another thing that is important to say is that although this book is classified as young adult, due to the main characters age and…

I love and I mean LOVE EVERYTHING but that third act breakup! It didn’t really suit me well for so many reasons! But it’s been so long I devoure book like this that I won’t let this little bump ruining all the rest for me. 5 shiny stars!!! The Shippers by Katherine Center

The Shippers hooked me right away. It starts with the romantic comedy beats full of light, charm, and promise. Cooper was such a dream. That man was a golden retriever in human form. Truly someone who every person wants in their corner at all times. But I had a bit of a hard time to like Jojo. Seeing her make one bad decision after another and not treat Cooper as he deserved to be treated by her left me so frustrated with her character. I found her very immature at the beginning of the book but I ended up liking her and rooting for them. I also found the storyline…

Come What May by Corinne Michaels

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: Ember Falls #4╰⪼ reads as standalone I couldn’t get into the story. The one-night stand turned into feelings right there. That’s it. No tension, no buildup. We don’t have to see their feelings developing. They falling in love. I wasn’t getting a lot of chemistry from them either. That’s the whole point about reading romance novels, we want to feel the love. Get butterflies in the stomach. This story gave me nothing.  Ember Falls Series: ∗ Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a complete standalone. But for maximum enjoyment, follow the recommended reading order. ∗ ❝ I think the right…

    Fever Dream by Elsie Silver

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: Emerald Lake #1╰⪼ reads as standalone It’s not you but me. I think I’m over Elsie’s writing. I just can’t connect with it anymore. It’s lacking tension and connection between the characters and even some emotion, to be honest. I don’t feel the heart in her writing anymore. Her stories feels very superficial and formulaic to me. Overall, it felt flat and boring. I did not connect with the characters or the story. I just didn’t feel it. The Heart You Kept by T.L. Swan

͟͟͞͞➳❥ SERIES: Kings of the Riviera #1╰⪼ reads as standalone I think it’s time to say good bye to this author. I love The Miles High Club series immensely! I’ve been trying to connect with her writing again ever since but I don’t think she is an author for me. All I see in her books are sex and silly and boring plots. Well, if we cans say there is one. I don’t laugh anymore. I don’t get emotionally connected with the characters. I don’t even feel all the spicy scenes that it seems it’s all her books are about now. They are all pretty formulaic, to be honest, and…
