I’m torn about this one. It was a very good read. I read it in one day. However, the ending felt very unsatisfying. The plot twist completely threw me towards the end— I wasn’t expect it at all, and, honestly, I don’t think the author took the proper time to rebuild Billie and Mick’s foundation in my eye. We didn’t have enough time to see Mick’s genuine regrets for what he did, and to feel their love for each other again. Everything felt so rushed.

We were only left with the memories of a past shared between them, while seeing in Billie’s present life all that love— that the author wants us to see in Mick— coming from a perfect and very in love fiancé of hers. I finished this book feeling more devastated about Dean having calling off his engagement with Billie than happy about Billie’s choices.

Overall, this was not a bad book I just wish the ending was better. More developed.
